Just a small collection of freelance identity work, some that was accepted and some that wasn't but that I thought was fun.
Sacred Grounds Cafe & Wine Bar
This cafe is near and dear to my heart. I chose to use the tree to emphasize not only its location in beautiful residential woods of Cheyenne Cañon, but also visually represent how long it has been a part of the area. It has strong roots in the neighborhood, and like a tree has grown and matured to be a part of the landscape. I chose the type to give the logo a modern look and feel and stay away from the clichés of the typical western tourist trap, as this café is not, despite it being at the heart of the Broadmoor tourist attractions. I feel this logo reflects the landscape and the heart of the business.
FatGirl Creative
This was my original branding, (which is still near and dear to my heart) but with social stigma about using the word fat in reference to myself, I had customers who really struggled to call me that. So out of respect to that audience I abandoned the brand. But admittedly, this is probably one of the best representations of myself in that I am bluntly honest, and a bit cheeky at the same time.
Fit It Plumbing
This was a fun freelance project that I got to do. Ken was great to work with and just starting out after his journeyman years in the industry. As a bonus, his night gig id stand up comedy, do his sense of humor was an added bonus!
